About Focus Osteopathy

Learn More about Focus Osteopathy

the Focus Osteopathy story

Servicing Patients Since 2009

Focus Osteopathy began in 2009 with a shared vision between co-founders Simon Nawrocki and Lorrae Griffiths.

Today the practice operates from two Melbourne clinics, Mount Waverley and Murrumbeena, offering osteopathy alongside a range of complementary services.

Over the years, the team has added services that sit alongside osteopathic treatment: remedial massage therapy, exercise physiology and exercise rehabilitation, dry needling, cupping, and hypnobirthing.

We would like for every person who comes into contact with Focus Osteopathy to feel positive and inspired on their journey to make health a priority. We build healthy communities through movement, mindfulness, and nutrition.

Who We Work With

We see people at every stage of life, though two groups make up a large part of our practice.

Staying Active After 50

Help with mobility, stiffness and everyday discomfort, so you can keep up with the walks, the garden and the grandkids.

Pregnancy and Postpartum

Treatment adapted to each stage of pregnancy and the months after birth, when your body is carrying and recovering from a lot of change.

Active Adults and Weekend Athletes

Support for training niggles, sports injuries and recovery, so you can keep doing the activity rather than sitting it out.

Working Adults

Desk based aches, repetitive strain and the stiffness that builds up over long hours sitting or on your feet all day.

Why Choose an Osteopath?

There are plenty of options when something hurts, and the right one depends on your circumstances and what you are after. Here are some of the reasons people choose osteopathy.

Your Whole Body Gets Assessed

Pain in one area is often driven by how another part of you is moving, so we look at the whole picture rather than only where it hurts.

Treatment Starts on Your First Visit

Your initial appointment covers assessment and hands on treatment together, so you leave with something done rather than a follow up booking.

A Drug Free, Non Invasive Approach

Treatment uses hands on techniques, movement and exercise, which suits people who would rather not rely on medication.

Time to Talk Things Through

Appointments are unhurried and one on one, which matters when the problem is complicated or has been going on for a while.

University Trained and Nationally Registered

Osteopaths complete a five year university qualification and are registered with the Osteopathy Board of Australia through AHPRA.

You Leave Knowing What to Do Next

Alongside treatment you get specific advice on movement, posture and exercise, so you are not waiting until the next appointment to make progress.

Meet the Team

The People You'll Be Seeing

Focus Osteopathy is made up of osteopaths, massage therapists and exercise practitioners who share the same approach: take the time to understand what is going on, explain it clearly, and work out a plan that fits your life.

You will see the same practitioner each visit, and they will know your history without you having to repeat it. Everyone on the team is university trained and registered with their relevant national board.

Our Approach

treatments starting from the first visit
The team is made up of practitioners who are genuinely interested in the people they treat, and who are willing to give you the time you need. That time is how we come to understand your situation and lifestyle, and it is what allows us to put together a treatment plan built around you rather than a standard protocol.
