Karl Godden
Osteopath
Karl developed a passion for osteopathy through a long-standing fascination with health, happiness, and how bodies manage to complain when we ask them to do interesting things. With a background in paramedicine, teaching, and performance coaching, he brings a calm, practical approach to care, blending hands-on treatment with movement, education, and progressive rehabilitation. Karl particularly enjoys working with people who want to stay active and develop a deeper understanding of their bodies, rather than feeling like they are at the mercy of them. Clear communication, evidence-informed care, and helping patients feel confident in their recovery sit at the core of how he practices.
Outside the clinic, you’ll usually find Karl rock climbing, in a yoga class, ocean swimming, riding, or deliberately choosing hobbies that keep him curious and slightly uncomfortable. He also sets rock climbing routes at a local gym, which means he spends a lot of time thinking about fear, life choices, understanding how our body moves, and why bodies tend to complain when we push things a little too hard. Feel free to ask Karl about movement, strength training, pain science, the latest podcast he’s deep into, or why doing a little something today often lets you do a lot more tomorrow.
Fun fact: Karl has delivered a baby!
