Dr Simon Nawrocki
B.Sc(Clin.), M.H.Sc(Osteo)
Simon commenced his studies by undertaking an Anatomy major at the University of Melbourne. He then completed a three year Bachelor of Clinical Sciences (Osteopathy) and a two year Masters of Health Science (Osteopathy) at Victoria University. Having practiced out of two very busy osteopathic clinics in Melbourne's west for several years, Simon has experience working with a cross-section of the community; from infants to elderly, cricketers to netballers and plumbers to office workers.
Simon's keen interest in sport has seen him involved both on and off the field. He has gained vast experience in dealing with acute and chronic sporting injuries and developing effective rehabilitation programs. Simon has worked with with several fitness facilities around Melbourne, as head trainer at football clubs and one of Melbourne's elite sprinting squads.
Simon uses a variety of manual techniques to treat a diverse range of musculoskeletal complaints, including biomechanical dysfunctions, spinal problems, headaches, wear & tear injuries and muscle imbalances. Simon has a strong worth ethic and thoroughly enjoys devoting his time to helping patients find an avenue to better health.
Dr Lorrae Griffiths
B.Sc(Clin.), M.H.Sc(Osteo)
Lorrae has completed a three year Bachelor of Science and a two year Masters of Health Science at Victoria University. Having worked in both metropolitan and rural Melbourne clinics for several years, Lorrae has had experience treating many and varied musculoskeletal complaints from postural problems to sporting injuries.
With a keen interest in lower back and pelvic dysfunction, Lorrae has had extensive experience in treating pregnancy related musculoskeletal problems, particularly of the pelvis. Furthermore, Lorrae’s interest and experience in many dance styles, has provided a strong knowledge of dance related injuries. Lorrae has worked closely with many elite dancers, dance schools, gymnastic and calisthenic clubs.
Lorrae has a structural and gentle functional treatment approach suitable for all ages and a diverse range of musculoskeletal complaints.
Dr Stephen King
B.Sc(Clin.), M.H.Sc(Osteo)
Stephen has completed a three year Bachelor of Clinical Sciences (Osteopathy) and a two year Masters of Health Science (Osteopathy) at Victoria University. Stephen is also qualified as a personal trainer.
Having worked with several AFL clubs as a sports trainer and rehabilitation coordinator in the VAFA and VFL (Tasmanian Devils FC), Stephen has a keen interest in injury prevention and rehabilitation; prescribing and overseeing successful rehabilitation programs for a wide range of conditions. In particular, low back and disc pain, shoulder injuries and pelvic pain. Furthermore, Stephen’s masters involved working with elite AFL players to develop rehabilitation recommendations for players with Osteitis Pubis.
Steve’s fitness background influences his Osteopathic treatment style, with a focus on post surgical and sporting injury treatment and exercise rehabilitation. He believes “patience under old injuries invites new ones” and empowers all his patients to take an active role in their rehabilitation.
Dr Toni Tran
B.Sc(Clin.), M.H.Sc(Osteo)
Toni has completed a three year Bachelor of Clinical Sciences (Osteopathy) and a two year Masters of Health Science (Osteopathy) at Victoria University. Toni also holds a qualification in Neuromuscular Dry Needling, which aims to treat myofascial trigger points caused by muscle imbalances.
Having been professionally trained over the last five years, Toni has particular interest in the treatment of conditions such as postural problems and headaches. She will also assist in the management of these conditions by incorporating the use of exercise prescription and ergonomic advice to help reduce the risk of reoccurrence.
Toni applies a multimodal treatment approach by using a broad range of Osteopathic techniques, tailored to each individual patient. Keeping value of Osteopathic principles -she will treat the whole body as a unit. Toni takes pleasure in seeing her patients benefit from Osteopathic treatment, by reducing their discomfort levels and thus enhancing their quality of life.
Craig Hayes - Massage Therapist
Craig completed a Certificate IV in Massage Therapy in 2003 and then started his own massage business. Continuing on with his studies saw him graduate with a Diploma of Remedial Massage from the Melbourne Institute of Massage Therapy in 2004.
Craig enjoys treating a wide variety of soft-tissue conditions, utilising his skills in Remedial, Relaxation, Sports, Deep Tissue and Trigger Point massage to further assist with relaxing tight muscles, increasing movement and alleviating pain.
For many years prior, Craig has had a strong association with elite sports, having worked as a Sports Medical Officer with the AFL at Fitzroy Football Club, the VFL at Box Hill Hawks and as Head Trainer at amateur football team, Salesian College. More recently he has become involved in other fields of sport, treating Victorian Institute of Sport Road and Track Cyclists, as well as State Representative Netballers.
Craig is an experienced and skilled practitioner with a special interest in the correction and prevention of muscular ailments, postural and occupational dysfunctions, sporting or exercise rehabilitation. He has a strong work ethic and thoroughly enjoys devoting his time to helping patients get better.
Terri Gough - Pilates Instructor
Terri has completed her Certificate III & IV in Fitness and has been working as a Personal Trainer for the last 2 years. Furthermore, with certification in Pilates, she is one of our lead Pilate Instructors.
This coupled with a Diploma in Performing Arts, has seen Terri work with a variety of people representing a wide range of age groups; from 3 years to 92 years of age! Terri has supported people with their health goals across a range of disciplines including Dance, General Strength Training and Weight related goals.
With a keen interest in Corrective and Rehabilitation Training, the focus of Terri’s Pilates sessions are to keep your body working functionally to reduce muscular imbalances that either cause, or are the result of an injury. Terri’s sessions are low impact and are tailored to your individual needs and health goals. Pilates is suitable for all ages and gives the body awareness for muscle function and control.
